Editorial Statement:
In the world of still-life photography where perfection by 1mm is required in every process involved, from lighting, camera angle, prop and retouch, I want to embrace the real nature of subjects including any sort of imperfections, as they appear and as I see without augmenting the reality.
The iPhone, as an extension of our eyes at the fingertips, enables us all to rediscover the world from a new angle. With this democratic tool of our time, there is no tweak, it’s all reality we witness.
“iPhone still-life” seeks to study the beauty of realness in an era where flawless AI-generated images prevail.
